THE Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has vowed to continue providing heartfelt service and be a “partner of the Filipino family” as it celebrates its 89th year in service since its establishment.
The PCSO was created through Act 4130, which the Philippine Legislature passed on October 30, 1934.
“We will continue to provide heartfelt service as we strive to be the Filipino family’s partner in both their trials and triumphs in life in the years to come,” PCSO chairman Junie E. Cua said.
Cua also vowed the agency would attempt to “break records year-on-year” in terms of revenue and the number of beneficiaries it serves.
“We will try to break records year-on-year. We will not be complacent, but instead we will work harder to increase our revenues and the number of our beneficiaries. This is out commitment to the President’s order to boost public services),” Cua said.
Cua said the PCSO will be holding some activities in line with its anniversary.
We will have medical missions in different areas in the coming days),” he said.
The chairman also shared his excitement as minimum lotto jackpot prizes for all its major lotto games was set to P89 million on October 30 to mark its anniversary.
We will have bigger prizes for our 89th anniversary celebration. This is our way of showing our appreciation and gratitude to our countrymen, because without them, the PCSO cannot deliver on its charity programs),” he said.
The agency earlier announced that the P89 million prize is applicable to the Grand Lotto 6/55 and MegaLotto 6/45 draws, which are the games drawn on Mondays.
The prize would also be applied to the UltraLotto 6/58 (TFSun), SuperLotto 6/49 (TThSun), and Lotto 6/42 (TThS) if there is no winner during the Monday draws, and will increase accordingly until the jackpot is hit.
A lone bettor from Nueva Vizcaya has won the Lotto 6/42 draw with a prize of P102,254,379.40, the agency announced last Monday.
