More than just a brew to perk you up on the morning, coffee is also being used by artists as a medium for painting, creating monochromatic works on canvas. Sunshine Place has partnered with Michelle Gonzalez as she teaches coffee painting on July 17 and 31, Saturdays, 9 am to 12nn in Sunshine Place Online.
In this two-day workshop, Gonzalez will share her process on monochromatic painting by using birds as the subject on the first session (July 17), and painting desserts on the second session (July 31).
Gonzalez started pursuing her artistic passion in 2018, as a birthday gift to herself as she turned 40. They say that life begins at this age, so she decided to pursue a childhood passion. She first attended a three-hour workshop for basic watercolor painting and has since been in love with watercolor. After a year of painting on her sketchbook almost every day, she began hosting art challenges on Instagram and teaching online.
The workshop will be via Zoom and is suitable for students 11 years old and above. Deadline of enrollment is July 10, Saturday.
The two-session workshop rate is PhP2,000.00 for seniors and PhP 2,800.00 for non-seniors. For those interested to enroll per session, rate is available upon request. An art kit containing watercolor paper and synthetic flat, round, and angle brushes can be had for Php 905.00
To enroll, interested participants can call Sunshine Place at (0917) 515-5656 or send an email to online.sunshineplace@gmail.com. They can also visit the website at http://www.sunshineplaceph.com/
