Nature is the eternal muse for artists of whatever time and place. For artists Ross Capili and Rico Lascano, their shared reflections on the shifting dynamics of nature and the enduring sense of wonder it evokes is the highlight of Conrad Manila’s Of Art and Wine series exhibition “Interchange”
Ross Capili’s works celebrate the captivating interplay. His passion for music infuses his brushstrokes, captivating the rhythm of rain and wind, and the vibrant crescendo of colors in bloom.
The patterns, vibrations and melodic tones of nature have long inspired music. As an artist, Capili explores and offers a visual feast of this profound connection. His signature metallic orb hovers on his canvas, symbolizing the presence of the sun and moon overseeing this eternal and universal harmony.

Meanwhile, Rico Lascano, renowned for his Zen-themed artistry, perceives nature as serene and tranquil, inviting internal reflection and deep contemplation. Water, sky and wind are depicted in this exhibit with a renewed and intimate vision — quiet, still and misty, devoid of color yet suffused with light.
Lascano’s Zenscapes beckons the viewer into a meditative response, with spare compositions, muted layering of hues, and delicate brushstrokes exemplifying his intuitive interpretation that nature is inherently spiritual.
“Conrad Manila is proud to unveil the recent major works of two prominent and respected artists. This exhibit further strengthens our commitment to promote Philippine arts and culture through the expert hands of our featured artists,” shares Fabio Berto, Conrad Manila general manager.
“In this exhibit, our guests and art patrons will behold and experience the interchange of emotions that nature evokes. Nature captivates. Nature breathes life. Nature heals,“ Fabio added.
Co-art curator Nestor Jardin invites the public to visit the exhibit at the Gallery C, 3rd floor.
It is open until August 3. “One of the goals of this show is to inspire future generations of artists, encouraging them to pursue their passions fearlessly and unapologetically,” he emphasized.
