Smith & Wollensky, the legendary American steakhouse known for its dry-aged USDA Prime steaks, award-winning wine program, and distinctive green-and-white storefronts, is opening its first branch in the Philippines in July.
Their first branch in the country will open in the heart of Bonifacio Global City (BGC), introducing in Manila’s dining scene this iconic dining spot for prime steaks.
Founded in 1977 in New York City, Smith & Wollensky has earned its place among the world’s most celebrated steakhouses. With branches in London, Miami Beach, Las Vegas, and now Manila, the brand is synonymous with refined American hospitality and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

At its core: premium USDA Prime beef, dry-aged and butchered in-house, is paired with a global selection of fine wines and served in a setting that blends classic elegance with a contemporary edge.
The BGC flagship store marks a milestone for Smith & Wollensky, reflecting the brand’s global expansion and a deep appreciation for Manila’s thriving food culture. The new space echoes the distinctive ambiance of its storied US counterparts – where tailored service, rich interiors, and signature steaks combine for unforgettable dining experiences.
“Smith & Wollensky has always stood apart, not just for our cuisine, but for the way we make people feel. Manila is ready for a steakhouse that embodies enduring tradition, not passing trends,” said John W. Hardyment, chairman of Granville Restaurants Philippines, Inc. (GRPI) and Bayshore Pacific Restaurants, Inc. (BPRI).
While Metro Manila has welcomed several famous international steakhouses in recent years, Smith & Wollensky has a heritage that few can rival. Unlike many modern concepts that rely on imported flair or fleeting novelty, the brand builds its reputation on substance: proprietary aging techniques, meticulously sourced ingredients, and decades-long relationships with purveyors and patrons alike.
Guests at the Manila location can expect the full Smith & Wollensky experience — from its famed shellfish towers and colossal dry-aged cuts to its hand-crafted cocktails and expertly curated wine cellar. Whether for power lunches, celebratory dinners, or private events, the BGC flagship is poised to redefine luxury steakhouse dining in the Philippines.
The official opening is on the second week of July, with limited reservations available ahead of the grand opening week.
