Thirty-four children from Manila proudly completed the Brigada Pagbasa program during a special Culminating Activity.
The students eagerly received their awards and certificates from MR.DIY and World Vision representatives, who also recognized their various achievements.
Despite facing challenges, these young learners demonstrated determination and persistence throughout the Brigada Pagbasa sessions, which were designed to enhance their literacy skills.
World Vision Education Technical Program Manager and Brigada Pagbasa Program Manager Geomel Jetonzo expressed gratitude for the volunteers’ dedication and effort. He also praised the children for their perseverance, emphasizing the crucial role of literacy in a child’s success.
During the event, World Vision presented MR.DIY with the Project Salute Award for its corporate social responsibility initiative, Acts of Kindness (AOK), highlighting its significant contributions to the program and its commitment to education.
