In honor of National Art Month, ArtisteSpace Inc., in collaboration with Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, presents the “Expressions” art exhibit on the second floor of Eight Forbes Town in Bonifacio Global City, running until Feb. 29.
Featuring 30 masterpieces by acclaimed visual artists Raymon Maliwat, Jose Sulse III, and Reiner Sulva, “Expressions” is the second installment of a three-man show exploring the interconnectedness among the artists and their distinct artistic interpretations.
Each artwork reflects the artists’ unique creative styles, inviting viewers to interpret them in their own way.
In an interview with Malaya Business Insight, Anton Magpantay, ArtisteSpace’s managing director, revealed plans to curate a more intimate setting for “Expressions,” catering to a discerning audience including condominium residents, amid the burgeoning high-end enclave of Forbes Town. With the imminent construction of a new building in the area, ArtisteSpace aims to attract even more art enthusiasts.
Reflecting on their previous exhibit at Newport World Resorts, Magpantay noted both successful sales and heightened interest, despite the brief duration of the event. Notably, a sold artwork from the previous exhibit has been replaced with a new piece for this showcase.
While testing various market segments, he said that ArtisteSpace remains committed to inclusivity, prioritizing artwork quality and artists’ vision over conventional standards.
Unlike traditional galleries, ArtisteSpace actively seeks to bring art to diverse audiences by organizing exhibits in unconventional venues, such as malls, aiming to eliminate barriers to art appreciation, he noted.
Looking ahead, Magpantay shared that ArtisteSpace promises more traveling exhibits and digital initiatives, expanding their reach globally.
Magpantay believes the current art scene is thriving, with an influx of art shows and emerging talent. He anticipates a broader spectrum of artistic mediums, including wearable art, reflecting contemporary trends.
Moreover, he pointed out that ArtisteSpace fosters collaboration with artists through its artisan market platform, facilitating the sale of collaborative artworks.
With a commitment to accessibility and innovation, Magpantay added that ArtisteSpace continues to democratize art appreciation, enriching communities and nurturing artistic talent worldwide.
