Teachers play a very important role in the world. They have the ability to change lives for the better. The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow and teachers are critical in shaping today’s youth by inspiring them to go further and dream bigger.

Because it takes a whole lot of patience, courage, dedication to shape young minds, Locally partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) for a deliciously fruity tribute for World Teacher’s Day last October 5. As an homage to their amazing work and tireless dedication, especially during the pandemic, more than a thousand teachers received a set of Locally Dalandan and Guava juices as delightful refreshments to help boost their immunity.

Roxas High School, Lakandula High School, St. Joseph School, Ramon Magsaysay, Jose Abad Santos High School, Parang High School, Nagpayong High School, Signal Village High School, Caloocan High School, Regina Coeli Education Foundation, Muntinlupa Science High School, Diliman Preparatory School, Araullo High School, St Anthony School, Philippine School for the Deaf, Muntinlupa High School, Pasay City East High School, as well as the City Schools Division of Pasay, Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasig, Las Pinas, and Marikina.

“We thank Locally and NutriAsia for their generous donation, as we all understand the importance of not only staying hydrated and refreshed at all times. We are thankful that they showed appreciation for the many teachers that continue to educate young Filipinos, especially during the pandemic,” said DepEd NCR Director Malcolm S. Garma.

This tribute is part of Locally’s initiative to help both teachers and students. As a brand that prides itself in sourcing their flavors from the different regions in the Philippines from sustainable local harvests to develop their healthy fruit beverages, Locally is committed to the growth of Philippine agriculture through supporting Filipino farming communities.

In tandem with this, the brand produced learning modules in partnership with DepEd that shine a light on the importance of local fruits and agriculture. To amplify the learning experience, the brand also created videos that educate children about Filipino fruits and sustainable farming practices, accessed through NutriAsia’s new e-learning platform Homeschool: Masarap Matuto, Masayang Mag-Aral.
