Learning That Moves: The Metis College

AT the recent launch of the Metis College in Taguig City, the most compelling voices didn’t just come from the stage —they came from the floor. A panel of student ambassadors and institutional leaders shared stories of transformation, challenge, and growth, offering a clear picture of how Metis is building a different kind of educational experience.

The event, held at F1 Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, gathered learners, educators, and leaders across industries to mark the public debut of Metis College, a globally accredited institution offering modular business education designed for professionals in motion.

“Our students are already leading, already doing the work,” said Trisha Roque-Oreta, director of Learning at Metis. “They don’t need a break from life to learn. They need education that moves with them — and gives them room to grow in real time.”

Student ambassadors agreed. “The best part of Metis is that it doesn’t feel like a classroom,” said Dreya Evangelista.

“It’s space to listen, reflect, and grow — not just for grades, but for real conversations about who we’re becoming. Everything I learn, I use the same week. Courses like negotiation and relationship management directly help me with clients and vendors. It’s not abstract, it’s real,” said Migs Martinez.

For Khail Macadaeg, an international immersion in London was a turning point: “Being at Oxford changed how I saw myself. I realized I belonged in global spaces.”

Together, these voices captured what Metis stands for: Learning that’s not paused but lived. Or, as the school’s tagline puts it: Leap before you look.
