Labor Day Weekend and Boracay have always gone hand in hand ever since the first Laboracay parties in the early 2010s. Since then, it has been repackaged as Love Boracay, with hotels and bars pulling out all the stops for a weekend of fun and revelry.
Discovery Shores Boracay is no exception and for this year, the homegrown hotel and resort has lined up several events spanning 4 days for guests of the island.
The resort hotel transformed its Sand Bar and Lounge area into a white affair with its kick-off event, White Shindig. Guests were requested to dress in white as they enjoyed the beach eats and the bevy of drinks and danced to the tunes played by DJ Knoxville.
This was followed by the Bohemian Sunsets in partnership with Moí«t Hennessy. Guest mixologist Ulysse Jounneaud of Buccaneers Rum & Cocktails took over the bar serving special Moí«t Hennessy cocktail concoctions, specially created for the evening’s merriment with bohemian beats from DJ Marvin.
For those who wanted to walk down memory lane, the Retro Wave event held last May 1 brought back the best of the 80’s and 90’s. The culminating event is Fiesta Divertida, a latin-inspired party by some of Manila’s best DJs and DJ Knoxville. Guests are in for a treat with tacos, tortillas and other Latin America treats, paired with Piña Coladas, Mojitos, Cuba Libre and other fun mixes.
With a play button as the key element in the event logo, Love Boracay is a call to everyone to continue to love life and to remember that life is no longer on pause.
