Sitel Group, one of the largest global providers of customer experience (CX) products and solutions, joins the worldwide celebration of International Women’s Day with several women-centered activities and events throughout March. The company also reinforced its commitment to women empowerment at work by strengthening its women employee resource program, launching a women’s month fitness challenge, and creating fun social media events on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
“International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month is an important global event, but at Sitel Philippines, we believe in celebrating women every single day,” shared Pamela Donato, Vice President of Human Resources, Sitel Philippines and China and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Executive Sponsor and Chairwoman. “We are committed to creating an equitable culture where women are empowered by providing opportunities for development, fostering valuable connections, and facilitating success and career growth.”
The company believes in empowering its people at all levels and is passionate about becoming the world’s most inclusive BPO provider.
This is why gender equality is essential at Sitel Group. The company was recently honored by Comparably, a workplace culture monitoring site, as one of the “Best Companies for Women 2021” for creating a safe and successful workplace for women professionals to thrive. At Sitel Philippines, women represent more than half the local workforce, with 49% among managers and senior leaders.
For International Women’s Day, Sitel Philippines encouraged all employees to join the global #BreakTheBias event. Associates took photos and shared their commitment to breaking gender biases in their respective communities. Participants also highlighted ways they champion women empowerment and gender equality at the workplace and home.
The company also relaunched the WELead (Women Executive Leaders and supporter’s employee resource group) community. The WELead women resource group is dedicated to supporting, empowering, and recognizing women at Sitel Group while fostering an environment to accelerate women leaders with opportunities for career development.
The global BPO also launched the Women’s Day Fitness Challenge through their global health and wellness program SitelFit.
The IWD celebration culminates with a WELead Women’s Summit on March 31, 2022 for all Sitel Group employees.
“Women’s Month is special, but more than that, at Sitel Group, we strive to recognize the invaluable contributions of women in a wide variety of ways,” Donato added. “We are proud to celebrate this month, and we continue to look for ways to empower #SitelGroupWomen.”
