Insurance companies are now stepping up their game to offer their best services and policies in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Christopher Tangalin, a professional currently staying in Cebu City, shared his experience after purchasing the product, saying he was able to travel for work and get to visit his girlfriend in Denmark amid the ongoing global public health crisis, thanks to Malayan Insurance’s Travel Master with COVID-19 coverage.
The pandemic-fortified protection product provides medical expense coverage and hospital cash benefit of up to 14 days of confinement due to COVID-19, which comes with Asian and worldwide travel plans.
“That was the selling point; they had it available at the right time. The service was available early,” recalled Tangalin, who supports local insurers.
The product may also arrange and schedule the traveler’s RT-PCR testing and non-COVID-19 vaccinations. The free referral service is coordinated by the insurance company’s partner Assist America, a provider of global emergency medical services for travelers, including Filipinos planning for their overseas trips.
“The flexibility is in Malayan, the service is quite good. Overall, I had a very positive experience,” he noted.
