THE Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) is offering free medical consultations at its multi-specilty clinic located in Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.
Libre po ang serbisyo na ito (We would like to remind the public that they can visit our multi-specialty clinic for medical consultation. This service is being offered to the public for free),” PCSO chairman Junie E. Cua said.
The multi-specialty clinic, which opened just last April, is under the agency’s Medical Services Department that holds office at the PCSO main office in Shaw Boulevard. It has specialists in cardiology, neurology and psychiatry; ear, nose, and throat (ENT), pulmonology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, orthopedic surgery, and ophthalmology.
Cua advised those interested in availing of the free consultation to check the PCSO’s social media page for updates on the schedules of the physicians and requirements.
The chairman said the multi-specialty clinic was conceived to supplement the public’s access to health services.
We have observed that many of our countrymen do not seek medical consultation because they would rather use the consultation fee for other needs such as food, school allowance and and for transportation. But consultation is important so we will know if we are sick of anything. Early diagnosis is necessary so we can stop any disease before they get worse),” Cua said.
Cua added that the PCSO is also seriously considering expanding its free consultation services across the whole country.
“Ideally, we want to be able to establish the multi-specialty clinic in all our branches. The PCSO is working hard so we can iimplement this free medical consultation on a nationwide scale in pursuit of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s committment to make health services available to all Filipinos),” said Cua.
