Foundever, a global leader in customer experience (CX) solutions, and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) formalizing a partnership to strengthen and develop youth employability in Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet.

The partnership falls under DOLE’s nationwide JobStart Philippines Program, which enhances young Filipinos’ employability through career coaching, life skills training, technical upskilling, and internship placements with partner employers. Done in alignment with the Philippines’ goal of inclusive economic growth, the program resumed in 2022, with Foundever emerging as a key partner in bridging the gap between education and employment.

“This collaboration marks a significant step in our commitment to opening up better career opportunities for the local community,” said Jephte Moneda, Director for Recruitment Marketing & Sourcing at Foundever. “Through JobStart, we’re not just filling jobs—we’re empowering the next generation of Filipino talent with marketable skills and the confidence to thrive in whatever work setting they’re in.”

The JobStart program in Baguio and Foundever have so far trained 56 youth, with 44 hired by the company. Meanwhile, La Trinidad’s newly launched JobStart program has begun life skills training, with technical training and internship placements to follow. In Metro Manila, JobStart Caloocan (2024) and Foundever had twelve program graduates, seven of whom secured employment. There are plans to expand the JobStart program to Pasig in 2025.

The MOA signings were attended by key stakeholders including Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, DOLE-CAR Regional Director Imelda E. Romanillos, and Foundever leaders. JobStart Baguio’s technical training began on June 23, 2025.

In La Trinidad, Mayor Romero Salday attended the signing with DOLE-CAR Assistant Regional Director Atty. Olivia Obrero-Samson and Foundever executives; including signatory Jepthe Moneda and Joy Dela Cruz, Director for Recruitment Marketing & Sourcing. The JobStart program in La Trinidad will endorse trainees for internships upon completion of their life skills training.
