Filipina graphic artist tapped for limited edition holiday box art

Christmas cheer might be more somber this year as the country still grapples with the effects of the pandemic. However, this makes gift-giving to loved ones all the more meaningful as a present can lift the spirits.

Liquor has always been one of the go-to gifts during the Yuletide season and for this year, Scotch whisky brand Chivas Regal has tapped graphic artist June DIgan to design limited edition packs for the Chivas 12, Chivas XV, and Chivas 18 line.

Digan drew inspiration from the color palette of the bottles, combining it with the tasting notes of each whisky to create vibrant designs that give a hint of what to expect when enjoying each whisky. The artwork, with the whisky and their respective flavor notes sit front and center in a vibrant and colorful piece evokes both the glow of the whiskies and the fuzzy warmth that the drinks make everyone feel when they have a sip.

“It’s been an honor to partner with one of the world’s most iconic whisky brands in Chivas Regal,” said June. “I was inspired not only by the experience of having good whisky, but also by Chivas’s spirit of success being a blend of many different things, which is something that’s easily applicable in my own life and career.”

The Chivas 12, AKA “The Global Icon,” is a whisky matured in ex-American whiskey casks for 12 years, with flavors of ripe apple, pear, vanilla, and honey. Meanwhile, the Chivas XV is selectively finished in cognac casks and aged for 15 years, with flavors of oranges, marmalade, honey, cinnamon, juicy sultanas, and butterscotch. The Chivas 18, combines over 20 of the rarest single malts and cask-aged for 18 years, resulting in flavors of dark chocolate, oranges, butterscotch, vanilla, cinnamon, and almond. “We’re truly excited for the new partnership with June and having Owen as a new addition to the PH team,” said Mary Jane Wong, Brand Manager. “Success really is a blend of different personalities and expertise, and we believe that great collaborations will create an impact and take us further.
