Sunshine Place takes Line Dancing a notch higher as it introduces American Line Dancing (LDVALI) class starting January 16.
The four-session special dance class will be taught by Mr. V. Allen Isidro, a visiting dance instructor from California, who has been teaching his progressive series in the City of Millbrae Recreation Department.
Isidro is part of a group who founded American Line Dancing (LDVALI) in 2009 in Napa, California. Since then, he has developed the low-impact exercise program into multiple progressive series and classes. By 2017, the program has been named MUSIC & MOTION and has now evolved & reached the public senior centers in the US. He currently teaches the LDVALI progressive series as an in-house program through the City of Millbrae Recreation Department.
The class will teach its students an extensive method of progression to Rumba, Mambo, Salsa, Foxtrot, Samba, & Bosa Nova through the traditional left and right box pattern or the old forward & back box rumba basic. Each 90-min session will be packed with progressive lessons and applying it to various dances.
Line Dancing is for everyone who enjoys dancing and exercising. It can be done with or without a partner. LDVALI uses a unique program and methodology that helps students of various skill levels learn while having fun exercising via the low-impact approach.
Classes will be held from 4:00 pm — 5:30 pm on January 16, 18, and 23; and from 3:30 pm — 5:00 pm on January 25.
This dance class is open for beginners, dance enthusiasts, or anyone who just wants to have fun.
