WITH salons in the Philippines hit hard by closures and lockdowns in the past two years, they now face the daunting task of reopening their stores and adapting the way they offer their products and services to encourage customers to come back.
That’s why the L’Oreal Groupe has developed an innovative social commerce platform to support its salon partners across the country.
In a recent media roundtable, Cary Co-Choa, general manager for L’Oreal Luxe and Professional Products Division at L’Oreal Philippines, said the platform, called L’Oreal Salon Shop, is being launched on December 15 to help salons that have been affected and challenged to keep their businesses afloat after being seriously affected by lockdowns.
As an online platform, The L’Oreal Salon Shop allows users to book consultations with professional hair stylists, purchase their favorite hair care products, and schedule appointments at their preferred L’Oreal partner salons. The L’Oreal Salon Shop offers a wide range of products and services that allow customers to receive professional hair care safely and conveniently.
Through L’Oréal Salon Shop, customers can avail and experience expert care from professional hairdressers through an accessible website created tailor-fit for their salon partners.
Through the L’Oreal Salon Shop, customers can: consult salon experts and hairdressers to advise them with the best suitable products and services for their hair needs; shop hair care products by top-performing professional hair brands such as L’Oreal Professionnel, Kerastase, Matrix, and Biolage, which can be delivered straight to their homes; and schedule in-salon appointments at their desired salon services and treatments.
According to the Department of Trade and Industry, an estimated 400,000 employees in over 35,000 salons across the country lost their jobs due to the lockdowns.
With the L’Oreal Salon Shop, these businesses can leverage new digital infrastructure and online services to create meaningful interactions between salons and their customers. This commitment by L’Oreal to help hairdressers and salons in the Philippines to future-proof their business is achieved through the L’Oreal Salon Shop that brings their products and services into one accessible platform.
The L’Oreal Salon Shop website is now live, promising an elevated salon experience for all in the new normal. Accredited L’Oréal Salon Shop partner salons in Metro Manila as of December 2021 include Emphasis Salon and Azta Urban Salon. L’Oreal intends to partner with more salons in the first quarter of 2022.
