HILTON Clark Sun Valley Resort’s MiceCon 2024 countdown event recently unfolded with a warm embrace, inviting guests to embark on an exciting journey that marries community spirit, cultural appreciation, and seamless connectivity.
The event commenced with Hilton Clark general manager Denise Molintas extending a heartfelt welcome to attendees who dedicated their weekend to the affair. As the sun shone down benevolently, it seemed as though even the skies conspired to enhance the beauty of the Hilton Clark’s picturesque grounds.
While the Hilton Clark is undeniably an international hotel, it aspires to be much more. Molintas, in her opening remarks, emphasized the core values and culture that place the community and local destination at the forefront of the Hilton Clark experience. And nothing could better illustrate this philosophy than the event’s centerpiece — a spectacular fashion presentation crafted by the talented local designer Tita Phillip Torres.
The fashion showcase was a harmonious blend of innovation and tradition. Torres’ creations, brought to life by the Hilton Clark team and the children of Duyan ni Maria, showcased the rich local talent and reflected the integration of Pidayit fashion into the uniforms of all Hilton Clark team members. Additionally, the children of Duyan ni Maria were poised to lend their charm to the upcoming Christmas festivities in the lobby, mirroring the heartwarming moments of the previous year.
The event offered more than just a visual feast. Attendees were treated to a delectable journey, including the renowned sisig from Aling Lusing, alongside an exclusive version created by the Hilton Clark culinary team.
The highlight of the event was the presence of Clark Development Corporation president and chief executive officer Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera. In her speech, Devanadera echoed Molintas’ emphasis on community and connectivity. She drew attention to the pivotal role MiceCon (meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions) plays in positioning Clark as a convention hub not only for the Philippines but for all of Asia. Her vision was clear: to promote Clark as the ideal destination for all MICE-related activities.
The emphasis on connectivity wasn’t just a passing sentiment. The results of Clark’s economic development were on full display. The poverty rate in Pampanga currently stands at a mere 2.9 percent, a stark contrast to the national average of 18 percent. This is a testament to the positive impact of industrialization on the community.
As Devanadera aptly put it, Clark’s strategic growth has the power to uplift lives and create a more vibrant, prosperous region. It’s a collaborative effort that embraces art, culture, and an improved quality of life for all.
The MiceCon 2024 countdown event at the Hilton Clark was a celebration of community, culture, and connectivity, as well as highlighted the Hilton Clark’s commitment to making a lasting impact in its local community and emphasized the tremendous potential of Clark as a vibrant, inclusive hub for MICE activities.
