Bringing fresh meat to the neighborhood

For many Filipinos, meat is the star of any meal. Whether it is a simple family lunch or a festive spread during celebrations, pork or beef will always have the center spot of the dining table. Homegrown meat retailer Mrs. Garcia’s is keenly aware of this, having supplied Filipino kitchens with meat products for 25 years.

The retailer has steadily boosted its presence in the country, opening new outlets in major supermarkets and making itself available around the clock with some products in the frozen foods section of convenience stores. The newest branch that Mrs. Garcia’s has opened marks a new chapter in the brand’s history.

Mrs. Garcia’s recently opened a standalone meat shop along Congressional Avenue, Quezon City. The community store, located at Platinum Business Center, is the first in the brand’s portfolio and it aims to be the meat purveyor of choice for residents in the area.

“Every home has grown to love Mrs. Garcia’s Meats as their companion in making every mealtime special. So, we are excited to announce that we finally opened the first-ever Mrs. Garcia’s Meatshop last October 11, allowing more families to enjoy that extra special dining experience at home, Mrs. Garcia’s Meats chief operating officer Bernadette Lee said.

The store will serve a variety of premium pork, beef, Korean and Japanese Cuts, including Short Ribs, Sirloin, Lean Ground Pork, Liempo, and Porkchop, as well as Japanese Shabu-Shabu, Beef Yakiniku, Beef Woo Samgyeop, Korean Pork Steak Bulgogi, and Pork Samgyeopsal.

Customers can also order in advance by phone through Mrs. Garcia’s Pick-A-Meat Express service. Store staff will have the order ready for a curbside pickup.

The community market concept will also be available for franchising. “The last few years have seen tremendous growth for Mrs. Garcia’s Meats. In many supermarket chains and eateries, people have come to trust our brand,” Lee said. “By providing a franchise option to our customers, mompreneurs, and every Filipino looking for business prospects, we hope to spread the word about these success stories.”
