Gift giving is the quintessential Holiday tradition and during these difficult times, it’s the perfect opportunity to offer loved ones something that is both meaningful and sparks joy.
With this, Casa de Memoria will be holding Cuarto, an online auction event featuring Filipino and European masterpieces, objets d’art and decorative items for the home on November 28, Saturday, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
“We would like to usher in the Holiday season and the new year with a hopeful outlook through our Cuarto auction. The pandemic is the best reason to celebrate a meaningful Christmas this year. Through our Cuarto auction, we hope to spark joy through unique pieces that are perfect tokens of appreciation for loved ones and for sprucing up our homes which serve as our sanctuary in these challenging times,” said Palacio de Memoria general manager Camille Lhuillier.
Casa de Memoria has partnered with leading interior designer Chat Fores, who shares some of her top auction picks. She explained that a room’s design can be elevated with at least one statement piece.
A Spanish earthenware vase by Domingo Punter, adorned with a phoenix, would look great in the dining room. Its rich green color adds vibrance to a room and she suggests topping it all off with a tropical arrangement.
Sharing a meal is part of any family celebration. Homeowners can spice up the dining table with a the 20th century Czechoslovakian porcelain dinnerware and pair it with a large octagonal Spanish silver centerpiece bowl.
