THE relationship between a mentor and mentee is a special blend of professionalism and personal connection. It’s like a guiding hand that shares wisdom and support based on life experiences. This relationship works both ways, with the mentor imparting their knowledge and talents to pave the way for the success of the mentee.
Recently, three talented artists — Raymon Maliwat, Jose Sulse, and Reiner Suva — who all had the same mentor for over two decades, collaborated to put on an impressive art exhibition called “The Expression of Life” presented by ArtisteSpace, a full service multi-disciplinary creative and events agency in one. Their works explore the deep connection between the mind, body, and soul and how it affects well-being.
These artists express their observations through various art forms such as painting, mixed media collage, abstract art, assemblage, and sculpture. They explore the depths of human behavior, religious beliefs, and everyday experiences, with the hope that viewers will see the intricate connection between the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and the relationship between the mind, body, and soul.
Let’s take a closer look at these talented artists.
Reiner Suva is a visual artist whose work is all about experimental self-expression. His mixed media collages are like abstract visual journeys into his own experiences. His personal style flows naturally, creating captivating textures, geometrical shapes, and elements that come together to form mesmerizing compositions.
Raymon Viray Maliwat is an artist whose work has been featured in galleries in various countries. His art is a spiritual expression of his life experiences, using symbols like birds, ants, paper boats, and airplanes to craft his own unique artistic identity.
Jose Sulse is a modern contemporary artist whose paintings are bursting with rich, warm colors and heavy impasto. He believes that abstraction has no limits, and his art is an exploration of the boundless imagination that abstraction offers.
This amazing exhibition is on display until October 21 at 2F, The Grove, Newport Mall. Don’t miss the chance to experience the deep connections these artists have explored between the mind, body, and soul through their exceptional creations.
