Following the renovation of the out-patient department of the Air Force City Hospital for Phase 1 in 2022, SMFI goes back to the City Hospital to renovate the lounge/receiving area, hospital administrative area, emergency room and the radiology area (x-ray, utltrasound).
On December 20, SMFI Executive Director for Health & Wellness Progam, Connie Angeles turned over to LtC Darwin R. Farnacio, Commanding Officer of Air Force City Hospital (AFCH) the completed facility in a simple ceremony.
According to 1st Lt. Princess Carag, of the Medical Admin Corp, the area is a “challenge to the Medical Crop to render exceptional service to those who avail of the medical services of the hospital which include not only the military but also their dependents, civilians and indigent Aetas.” “The atmosphere is conducive to early detection and recovery.” “While previously, there was no waiting area, now we even have a reading room where patients can wait for their turn either for consultation or for x-ray or ultra sound.”
The renovated Heath Center is the 202nd health facility completed so far by SMFI. In the past, SMFI has renovated health facilities in the major service branches of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and of the Philippine National Police.
