For its annual Abstract Exhibit, Galerie Joaquin presents “Abstract Paradis Revisited”, celebrating the coming together of more than30 respected artists as it follows the success of last year’s first iteration in one of the gallery’s flagship stores at Powerplant Mall, Rockwell. The exhibition again illustrates the uniqueness and distinct styles of the participating artists as they explore new ways of expressing themselves — their emotions, ideas and experiences. Viewers are again challenged to interpret the various artworks both emotionally and personally as the artists took on the task of creating pieces that allowed them to be open, experimental and transcend limitations that they usually place upon themselves.
Showcasing works that new and old collectors would surely appreciate, the artists present innovative renderings where texture, depth and color are some of the tools used to creatively interpret the extraordinary in what might ordinarily seem mundane. While some of the artists chose to abstract in more fluid or emotional ways, others used objects, landscapes and figures and rendered them in unrealistic colors, used distortion and turned them on their head so to speak, through the use of shapes and lines.
“Abstract Paradis Revisited” features works by Presidential Medal of Merit awardee Juvenal Sanso as well as Barbara Angeles, Karina Baluyut, Joy Calanasan, Norberto Carating, Marco Coching, Mario De Rivera, Patrick Esmao, Francis Evangelista, Ricky Francisco, Fitz Herrera, Raul Isidro, Dr. Ronnie Lim, April Lopez, Resty Lopez, Rafaelle Louise, Art Lozano, Carlo Magno, Ann Baldemor Moneda, Milmar Onal, Marge Organo, Perfecto Palero Jr., Jax Pasimio, Michael Pastorizo, Richard Perez, Elie Quial, Jay Ragma, Jinky Lorenzo-Reynoso, Randy Roa, Aner Sebastian, Haraya Tejido, Camille Ver, Ralph Villaluz, and Edwin Wilwayco and will be on view from July 18 – 31, 2022 at Galerie Joaquin Rockwell. The Galerie is located at the R3 Level of Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati.
