When one thinks of Valentine’s Day, love immediately comes to mind—love for that special someone, for family, or even for oneself.
On the day of hearts, Casa Buenas at Newport World Resorts invites guests to celebrate love in its purest, most romantic, and heartfelt form with La Serenata.
This annual celebration offers a unique dining experience, fostering an atmosphere of sincere connection, enhanced by exceptional service, a mesmerizing ambiance, and exquisite cuisine.
La Serenata features a nine-course meal designed to take guests on a journey through the metaphorical stages of love, all expertly paired with a selection of red, white, or sparkling wines.
Executive Sous Chef Paolo Miguel Vidal who curates the exclusive menu promises an unforgettable culinary affair that will make guests fall in love all over again.

The evening begins with a captivating introduction—Primera Vista, a story of tapas. From chorizo patatas bravas, to lowa salmon—this first course will awaken the senses and leave everyone craving for more.
After that first interaction, segue on to Tomarse Manos, a Filipino classic, kinilaw that symbolizes the moment when two people reach out to each other with trust and connection.
Ambrazamiento or sabaw na molo, a comforting hot soup with tender meat, it represents the warmth and security of an embrace.
This is followed with Cariño, a tropical love affair featuring grilled marinated tuna and prawns, complemented by a creamy coconut and pumpkin purée, and finished with heirloom red rice.
Pasión is a powerful, deeply passionate course, featuring wagyu beef in a Filipino-style “hotpot” served with vegetables, bone marrow, beef tenderloin, and rich beef jus. It symbolizes the intensity of a love that knows no boundaries.
At this stage, love becomes clearer and more profound Te Quiero, perfectly grilled pompano fillet, served with a smoky eggplant salad that captures the beauty of affection in its simplest form.
In Amor, Kare-Kare, a classic Filipino dish, takes centerstage with slow-roasted US beef rib-eye and braised Angus beef short ribs. Paired with a pita glazed in shrimp paste, it represents the fiery, enduring nature of deep love.
The finale is Corazón—a hearty burnt Basque cheesecake served in a pot plant, with coffee custard, and strawberry semifreddo.
Then when it is time to leave, comes Nueve, Apreciar—the final gesture. A token to carry, a memory etched softly in time, reminding the love shared, long after the table is cleared and the night slips away.
