In celebration of 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines, the Archdiocese of Cebu and SM’s malls in Cebu recently showcased a series of exhibits highlighting art, heritage, and the Filipino faith.

The centerpiece of the exhibit is a replica of a Spanish colonial church.

SM City Cebu transports the faithful back in time with “Mga Hulagway sa Pagtuo” at the Northwing Atrium in partnership with the Smart Communications, Inc, and InnoPub Media.

With a replica of a Spanish colonial church as a centerpiece, Panaw sa Pagtuo uses advanced digital tools such as quick response (QRs) codes and virtual reality (VR) devices to allow visitors to experience Cebu’s religious treasures in one setting.

The QR codes are equipped with rich multimedia contents; whereas the VR videos transport guests to Cebu’s beautiful and grand stone churches.

Shoppers can also download the Panaw sa Pagtuo application though Apple App Store, Google App Store, and Huawei App Gallery. The mobile app contains all exhibit materials that can be accessed at the venue which will serve as an exhibit guide and companion.
