Pound Fitness is a full-body cardio session inspired by the energy and fun of playing the drums. It is an exhilarating cardio workout and music therapy in one.
Students of all ages — especially seniors — dance to the beat, hitting the lightly weighted drumsticks called the Ripstix, while also exercising both body and musicality. This dance workout is easily modifiable, making it the perfect dance exercise for everyone in all fitness levels and abilities.
The classes will be led by Pound Fitness Instructor Neru Salas, a certified Pound Instructor since 2018. With an updated license and a Pound Level Up certification achieved in 2019, he brings expertise and enthusiasm to every class. He has been teaching Pound Fit in various top gyms across the Metro, including Anytime Fitness, Surge Fitness, Get Fit, and Stark Fitness.
Meanwhile, Emily Osorio will join Salas and help modify some steps for the elderly and physically-challenged. The duo is best known for their energetic and engaging teaching style, inspiring their students to reach their fitness goals while having fun.
Pound Fitness workouts will be held every Saturday starting January 18, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 pm. It will be an eight-session course. Full course enrollees can enjoy 2 free sessions, bringing the total number of sessions to 10. They will also be entitled to attend at least 3 different physical activity classes, including Pound Fitness. Per session enrollment is also available.
