Vice President Leni Robredo’s office started the second day of its Swab Cab initiative in the city of Malabon on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, as a continuation of the OVP’s ongoing efforts to test more Filipinos amidst the surge of COVID-19 cases in the country.
The Swab Cab targets to test residents today in barangays identified by the local government of Malabon, including the barangays of Longos, Potrero, Tinajeros, Tugatog, Acacia, Niugan and Flores.
Practicing social distancing and with the minimum health standards in place, the residents of Malabon line up for swab testing. (OVP Photo)

This initiative, done in partnership with Kaya Natin Movement and UBE Express, provides antigen testing in communities with high transmission rates to speed up the detection of infected patients so that isolation and contact tracing can be done immediately. (OVP photos)

In Barangay Potrero, volunteer swabbers personally came to the residence of a 92-year-old patient who is unable to walk, to get her specimen for swab testing.
