MSD Philippines was recently awarded the Great Place to Work certification, in recognition for the company’s success in fostering a purpose-driven, inclusive, united, and empowering work environment where employees feel valued and engaged.
The certification reflects the feedback of MSD’s employees, with 89% affirming that “taking everything into account, MSD is a great place to work,” and 96% expressing pride in working at MSD. The certification also highlights MSD Philippines’ dedication to nurturing a positive workplace culture and commitment to enhancing the well-being of its workforce.
“Achieving Great Place to Work certification highlights MSD Philippines’ success in building a workplace where employees are proud to belong. This certification reflects the collective effort of MSD’s leadership and employees in cultivating an environment of respect, empowerment, and mutual support,” said Andreas Riedel, President and Managing Director, Human Health, MSD Philippines.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to MSD’s workplace philosophy, which led to the creation of Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs). These groups offer employees a platform to connect based on shared backgrounds, experiences, or interests, establishing a sense of community and shared purpose. Through EBRGs, MSD employees find support, share insights, and grow in their careers.
Gender equality in the workplace is also among the top priorities of MSD. Every year, the company celebrates International Women’s Day, led by the Women’s Network alongside other initiatives that support women employees to thrive in their careers.
MSD Philippines also established the Next Gen Network (NGN) to bridge generational divides in the workplace, and fostera culture where employees of all ages feel valued and heard. This program encourages open communication and understanding across generations, creating a “safe-to-speak” environment where every individual’s voice matters.
As part of its efforts on inclusivity, MSD Philippines proudly supports the Rainbow Alliance, an EBRG that enables and empowers the company’s LGBTQ+ talent to connect and grow their careers, and foster allyship within the organization.
