A more comfortable way to sleep

The hustle-oriented mindset prevalent today has made sleep quality an afterthought for many individuals. However, good quality sleep is essential in recovery and having the right pillows makes falling and staying asleep much easier.

This is the premise behind Mr. Big Pillow, a Thailand-based company founded by physical therapists who sought to develop the best pillows and mattresses based on human data and sleep behavior. The result is a wide variety of products that have been specifically designed for different use cases.

Guests try out Mr. Big’s different positional pillows

The Mr. Big Bodyscale pillows come in various sizes based on the user’s weight, height, and sleep posture. It fits well to the shape of the head and neck thanks to its rounded edges and lack of corners, allowing it to properly support the head and keep the spine in a neutral position while sleeping. Clients undergo a Best-Fit analysis through an app to find out the pillow recommendation best suited for them, with the Bodyscale coming in at 5 levels of firmness.

The Ortho-Series pillows tightly follow the curves of the head, neck, and shoulder to relieve pressure and provide support. The addition of adjustable pads allows for a personalized fit. For those who want a different feel and material, the Latex Pillow line provides a firmer experience. These pillows are made by local farmers using sustainably-harvested materials.

Mr. Big’s 9 pillow designed for side sleepers

The Body pillows provide superior comfort for side sleepers. Its large size allows users to rest their arms, leg, torso and hip on the pillow to provide support and comfort while keeping spine neutrality. There are also specialty pillows such as the Nine Pillow aimed at side sleepers, the Gerd pillow which elevates the upper body to mitigate the effect of acid reflux, and the Leg pillow which supports the thighs and knees to lessen the strain on the lower body and lower back.

Osteopath Dr. JP Prado said that of the three pillars of health: exercise, nutrition, and sleep/recovery, sleep is the most important. “You cannot eat food for over a week and live, but just three days without sleep would already do permanent brain damage.”

Dr. Prado adds that Mr. Big Pillows checks all the boxes of good quality pillows: “Not only do they have prescription sizing for bespoke comfort and custom neutral spine, but their fiber pillows are washable and can be disinfected preventing chronic rhinitis and sinus infection.”
