Sumptuous spread at Marco Polo Ortigas

Marco Polo Ortigas joins the festivities of the Lunar New Year with a sumptuous spread offered by its award-winning Chinese restaurant Lung Hin. Led by executive chef Raymond Yeung, Lung Hin has prepared a multi-course set meal good for 10 persons, perfect for celebrating with friends or family.

The meal starts with a choice between Lung Hin’s Signature Roasted Barbecue Pork or Roasted Pork Belly. Appetites sufficiently whetted, this is followed by a hot bowl of Chicken Consommé with Red Mushroom and Abalone. Its simple presentation belies a deeply flavorful broth that is a delight to sip.

The flavors keep on coming with the Wok-Fried Prawns with Black Truffle and Garden Greens and the Steamed Shrimp with Garlic, Vermicelli, and Enoki Mushrooms, allowing diners to enjoy the crustacean in two ways. A feast would not be complete without a centerpiece main and for the special set menu, this is the Braised Pork Knuckle with Sea Moss and Garden Greens. For those who prefer a lighter fare, there is the Signature Baked Chicken with Himalayan Salt.

The hearty dishes continue with the Stewed Eggplant, Minced Pork, and Salted Fish in Clay Pot before ending the savory part of the meal with a Fried Rice with Seafood and Parma Ham. A special Daily Chef dessert ends the meal on a sweet note which is paired with a seasonal fruit platter.

Those who prefer single dishes to celebrate the Chinese New Year are also in for a treat with Lung Hin’s a la carte menu. The Yu Sheng toss is made the more special with the addition of Calmex Abalone along with Salmon and Jellyfish and flavored with a soy sauce, sesame oil, and plum sauce mix. Heat up the body with a serving of Pork Soup with Dried Oyster and Sea Moss or enjoy the hearty Braised Pork Knuckle with Sea Moss and Garden Greens. There is also the Fried Rice with Taro and Chinese Sausage for all rice lovers while noodle fanatics will enjoy the Braised E-Fu Noodles with Assorted Mushrooms in Abalone Sauce. Cleanse the palate with the Sweetened Ginger with Dumpling and end the meal on a sweet note with Ginger, Red Date, Muscovado Sugar Coconut Tikoy. Bring the festive spirit home with a serving of Black Truffle Parma Ham Chinese Sauage Korea Radish Cake.
