Romance fills the air at City of Dreams Manila as the luxury integrated resort charms guests with impressive dining and staycation experiences with loved ones this Valentine’s season.
The Manila outpost of the globally renowned restaurant founded by celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, located at Nobu Hotel Manila, presents a five-course Valentine’s Day dinner menu on February 14 for P6,000 net person.
The swoon-worthy menu starts with the chef’s choice of appetizer followed by a selection of Nobu Canapés. An assorted selection of Nobu sushi served along with a clear soup of ginger, oyster and negi (leeks) come after. The dinner goes a notch higher with the next course of Hokkaido Scallops with vanilla miso, foie gras and sesame seeds; and Seared Wagyu Beef with onsen tamago (Japanese-style soft boiled egg), dried miso garlic chips, and glazed sake-mirin reduction. A delightful dessert of Delicate Chocolate Heart with strawberry and rum mousse, red velvet cake and mixed berry sorbet finishes an amorous dinner.
Crystal Dragon, one of the metro’s top restaurants for Cantonese cuisine, impresses with a four-course set menu available on February 14 for lunch and dinner. The menu starts with premium Ostra Regal Oyster with kaffir lime chili dressing served with foie gras toast with red wine vinaigrette reduction, which is followed by a rich and hearty soup of Alaskan King Crab Bisque with aromatic Szechuan mala oil.
The romantic indulgence continues with a melt-in-the-mouth Heritage Braised Pork Belly with star anise, cinnamon, golden quail egg, and Romanesco broccoli; and Signature XO Lobster Thermidor with handmade bamboo charcoal noodles and truffle chicken pillow dumpling. Providing a sweet yet light conclusion to the meal is a dessert of Mango Pomelo Lava Chiffon.
City of Dreams’ modern Filipino restaurant Haliya celebrates the season of love with an “Araw ng mga Puso” special menu available for dinner on February 14. The offer, priced at P9,000 net for two persons, comes with a three-course menu, a variety of confections at the dessert station, and two rounds of cocktails of the guest’s choice.
Café Society spoils guests with its array of thoughtfully packaged sweet indulgences this season of love. The tempting lineup includes Heart Milk Choco Crème and Crispy Crunch Cake; Valentine’s Day Chocolate Mocha Cheesecake, and Valentine Heart Duo Cake. Handcrafted chocolates by the resort’s world-class chocolatiers such as Valentine Heart in a box, Valentine Flowers in bloom, and Heart of Roses in a pot are a must-try.
City of Dreams Manila’s pizzeria, known for its Roman-style pizzas, offers a Sunday Brunch experience. The pasta station highlights chicken fettucine alfredo and penne arrabbiata with shrimp prepared à la minute, while the pizza station features bacon and onion, all-meat and vegetable pizza.
Other satisfying choices are freshly baked focaccia bread, grissini, and an assortment of breads, and sandwiches such as Monte Cristo and grilled vegetable with pesto mayo, complemented by a salad station with a selection of mixed greens and dressings. An array of sliced fresh fruits in season and the chef’s choice of desserts for the day complete the brunch spread.
