Oktoberfest is one of the most popular festivals in the entire world, being celebrated yearly in different countries. The Philippines is no exception with many establishments joining in the festivities. Quezon City’s Luxent Hotel is the latest addition to the growing list of participants as it recently held its Oktoberfest celebration at its Seasons Ballroom.
“Majority of our guests in Luxent Hotel are beer drinkers. Because of this, we wanted to hold an Oktoberfest celebration for them. It is also a way to market the hotel to a wider audience, especially those who are looking for a more luxurious experience on their nights out,” Luxent Hotel F&B Manager Ces Del Mundo shared.
Guests were in for a treat with a wide selection of beverages available. They could drink their fill of wines, cocktails, and the traditional beverage of the festival, beer. “We wanted to make sure that non-beer drinkers will also have fun in the celebration. There are cocktails sponsored by Destileria Limtuaco, as well as wines from Woomera,” Del Mundo added.
To pair with the drinks, Luxent Hotel offered a spread of freshly-grilled items such as chicken marinated in several ways, different sausages, pork belly, beef patties, and fresh seafood. For those who want something to lessen the alcohol hit, soups such as Beef Goulash and Potato and Sausage were also available.
An Oktoberfest celebration will not be complete without any music and for Luxent Hotel’s celebration, guests were serenaded by performances from Emar De Guzman and bands Magiliw Street and Similar Sky. Aside from musical performances, guests were also invited to play different drinking games, with numerous prizes at stake, from goodie bags, drinks, and even an overnight stay in the hotel.
More than just a drinking party, the Oktoberfest is all about having a fun time with everyone, stranger or friends. Luxent Hotel’s Oktoberfest celebration was exactly that, with guests able to enjoy their drink of choice from the wide selection of beverages as they sing wholeheartedly to the different songs played by the performers.
