New foodie’s favorite at the mall

Filipinos always love visiting the malls. Whether it is to watch their favorite movie, shop for new items, or just hang out with friends, malls have always been a favorite for many. A visit to any mall would not be complete without having a meal or a drink, and for those who want to be spoiled for choice, a mall’s food court or food hall is always a good option.

At SM Aura, the food hall is given a more upscale feel with the relaunch of Food on Four, located at the 4th floor of SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City. The food hall has been transformed to feature bright, contemporary and inviting interiors, almost reminiscent of springtime with décor inspired by the season – vibrant wildflower blooms, pockets of lush foliage and potted palms, and delightful hummingbird hologram installations. An impressive central skylight and floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the space in light.

The highlight of the new food hall are the numerous chef-driven food concepts which offer top-quality dishes from different cuisines. Deli by Chele by Chef Chele González and Chef Carlos Villaflor is a New York style deli bringing to Manila its signature pastrami and artisanal sandwiches. Meanwhile, those who prefer burgers can enjoy California-style burgers with a non-fungible twist via Bored & Hungry, the United States based burger joint famous for its smashed patties.

For those who prefer Japanese cuisine, Nadai Fujisoba by Japanese chef Yoshiaki Kudo is a casual Japanese dining specializing in authentic soba noodles. The Filipino favorite lechon is given a twist in Happy Ongpauco-Tiu’s Le Chon Prime as it incorporates French techniques and flavors to the beloved Filipino dish. Finally, Delimondo Café by chef Hermogenes Hernandez serves up all-day comfort food such as rice bowls, pasta, and coffee.

Chef Kevin Ong at Kevin Ong Patisserie

End the meal on a high note with Kevin Ong Patisserie by chef Kevin Ong who gained renown for his exquisitely handcrafted chocolate bonbons, choux pastries and mirror-glazed mousse cakes.

Fan favorites such as Cinnabon, Frankie’s New York Buffalo Wings, Pepper Lunch Express, Puffy’s Souffle Pancakes, Sizzling Plate, and Sushi Nori are also back at Food on Four.

Other stores that will be opening at the location include Pronto, an on-the-go food retail concept offering a curated selection of gourmand finds from wines, preserved goods, truffle snacks and more; Diggy’s California Style Pizza, headed by chef Carlos Garcia, who has over 14 years of experience at Michelin-starred restaurants in Madrid and London; and Malabar which is set to revolutionize traditional beverage offerings with their unique and innovative take on both cocktails and non-alcoholic options.
