Grab Philippines ramps up its partnership with Rise Against Hunger in providing nutritious meals for marginalized Filipinos in celebration of World Food Day on October 16.
Through this partnership, Grab Philippines and Rise Against Hunger will empower consumers by joining 150 countries worldwide in a collective effort to promote worldwide awareness to address hunger.
This year’s celebration is marred with various global challenges from the pandemic to rising prices and climate change which all affect food security. Making a positive impact to help fight hunger is as easy as donating your GrabRewards points with 675 points equivalent to a P50 meal pack.
“This World Food Day, let us do our share in alleviating the plight of millions of Filipino families that have become hungrier due to rising food prices and the effect of the pandemic,” said Jomar Fleras, Rise Against Hunger Philippines Executive Director.
A survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations from April 9-27 this year shows an estimated 3.1 million families experienced hunger in the first quarter of 2022.
As Grab continues to leverage its super app to support the everyday needs of millions of Filipinos, it is more meaningful to celebrate World Food Day by helping our fellow Filipinos.
This collaboration with Rise Against Hunger is one of Grab Philippines’ many ongoing efforts to support the global campaign to end hunger, working together to create a more sustainable future.
