The year-long wait for bier and wursts is finally over. These Bavarian favorites are making their way back to the checkered picnic tables for the much-awaited Oktoberfest celebration at Newport World Resorts.
The world’s largest beer festival returns for round two at Newport World Resorts on October 24 to 26, 2024 at The Ballroom, Hilton Manila. This year, its award-winning culinary team is going even bigger, preparing a grander spread of traditional German fare for heap of revelers joining the festivities.
Get ready for the best wurst party with three of Germany’s most famous sausages in the spotlight. No Oktoberfest is complete without the classic bratwurst, made of finely minced pork and beef, grilled and served with sweet mustard and bread. Also on the menu is the mild bockwurst, seasoned with salt, white pepper, and paprika, often paired with mustard or sauerkraut. The soft weisswurst—a lightly spiced white sausage—will also make an appearance, presented in a pot of warm salt water alongside sweet mustard and wheat beer.
The feast continues with a meat platter consisting of crispy pork knuckle, chicken schnitzel, roasted chicken, and pan-seared meatloaf, paired with crispy roasted potatoes. Another highlight on the menu is the spaetzle, a soft German noodle dish coated in a rich cream sauce with Emmental and Gruyere cheese.
Served alongside the sausages and meat platter are hefty servings of Bavarian delicacies including freshly baked pretzels and German rye bread with flavorful dips, and Munich-style sausage salad. To top off this Bavarian-style feast, indulge in the sweet delights of baked apple tart and Kaiserschmarrn, a shredded pancake caramelized with sugar and served with vanilla ice cream and berry compote.
Newport World Resorts partnered with the world’s oldest brewery, the Weihenstephan Brewery, to bring premium bottomless Bavarian beers to the festival.
