For many people, being able to unwind after a long day of work is a treat worth enjoying.
Some prefer enjoying some coffee paired with a slice of cake, while others indulge in a hearty meal. There are also those who enjoy clinking glasses with colleagues over hot food with music in the background.
Mitasu Yakiniku in Banawe Ave. aims to provide an authentic izakaya experience for people living and working in QC with the launch of their Izakaya Nights every Tuesday. The Japanese counterpart to a Spanish tapas bar or a British pub, an izakaya is an informal bar that serves drinks alongside Japanese snacks.
“We want to target the young crowd who wants to drink and who likes music while eating yakiniku and yakitori. We came up with the idea to launch the Izakaya Night which features our own yakitori as well as Japanese ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages and Japanese beers,” Karla Bernales, Fredley Group Marketing Manager shared.
Yakitori — skewers that guests can grill tableside, was the logical choice for Mitasu as it already featured yakiniku as its bestseller. Guests can enjoy their drinks while waiting for their skewers to cook on the tabletop grill. Meanwhile, an acoustic band plays a diverse selection of songs to complete the relaxing atmosphere.
Guests can order either per piece of yakitori or a platter of 7 sticks. Mitasu offers pork, pork and enoki mushrooms, pork and shimeji mushrooms, pork and leek, chicken breast, chicken wing, and salmon yakitori. Meanwhile, drinks include Asahi beer and Suntory’s highball cocktail in a can, Strong Zero.
