DUNKIN’ Donuts Philippines gave its customers a wonderful treat — free cups of freshly brewed coffee which were distributed by Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual at the Strata, Fisher Mall and Bonifacio Global City 25/7 branches of the popular donut brand.
The recent coffee day event is aimed at spreading more good vibes to customers who get their coffee fix at Dunkin’ Donuts.
Piolo in an interview said such events are special to him — an experience quite different from his meet and greet with his beloved fans — since he doesn’t get to do these things every day due to his professional obligations.
During the event, many customers lined up to get their fill of that Dunkin’ Coffee Feelin’.
“It feels good to see them up close and talk to them more intimately,” Piolo said, adding he got to meet a number of his “coffeeholic” fans which meant a lot to him.
Piolo enjoys the Boston Cream as much as the Choco Butter Nut when he was growing up. “Matamis sa labas; masarap sa loob,” he said.
He pointed out that many people grew up with the brand. “It is a trip down memory lane every time one goes to their stores,” Piolo said, describing a visit to Dunkin’ Donuts.
Piolo said he doesn’t favor a particular coffee flavor but he likes his coffee cold when he’s outdoors in the heat of the day and hot when he’s indoors especially in the morning.
Besides bringing back one’s fond childhood memories, Dunkin’ Donuts continues to come up with new flavors. Piolo said he would love to have sapin-sapin or other rice cakes as new donut variants.
“I like local delicacies,” he said.
As part of the event, customers who proclaimed “Half Half Hooray!” paid only half the price for a medium hot or iced Dunkin’ Coffee.
