As we celebrate Women’s Month, GH Mall in partnership with art collective Floral Artists of Davao Association, is hosting a special art exhibition titled, “Women’s Palette: The Artful Awakening” from March 8 to 30 at the East Wing Atrium, GH Mall.

The free exhibit will showcase the transformative power of art in shaping women’s diverse identities, voices, and stories.

Featured are the works of creative and compassionate women artists from Davao, such as Floral Artists of Davao founder Josie Tionko and president Rita Bustamante, alongside members Amanda Echecarria, Dadai Joaquin, Nemalyn Ledda, and more. Their paintings present empowering themes tackling identity, resistance, healing, and spirituality that many Filipino women can resonate with.

Founded in 2023, the Floral Artists of Davao is a creative platform that advocates for women’s rights and amplifies their stories to inspire change in society. The organization has held several art events and its members have participated in various art exhibitions both locally and internationally.

This year’s Women’s Month is about uplifting all women in all sectors. With the national theme, “Babae sa Lahat, Aangat ang Bukas,” it emphasizes the need to give women equitable opportunities, free from gender bias and discrimination. It’s a rallying cry that gives women hope and optimism to achieve their dreams for themselves and their loved ones.

“Women’s Palette” is both a personal and collective dialogue. It invites viewers to see women’s struggles and triumphs in a different light. More than an exhibition, it is an empowering movement that brings people together through the power of art and shared experiences.
