Sunshine Place has lined up a one-on-one and group voice workshop under Dr. Edgardo “Ed” Manguiat, choral clinician, composer, song arranger, and musical director and founder/conductor of the UP Singing Ambassadors.
To kick-off the Voice Workshop at Sunshine Place, seniors are invited to an Online Get-Together with Dr. Manguiat on August 26, 2021, Thursday at 11:00 am. The online get-together will give them an opportunity to get to know the esteemed conductor and founder of UP Singing Ambassadors. He will be sharing stories of competing in many prestigious International Choir competitions and how music has helped him cope up with the isolation of the pandemic. Participants will have the chance to warm up their vocal cords and sing-a-long with him. Slots are limited and on a first come, first served basis.
It’s never too late to learn a new skill. Learn how to sing, carry a tune or improve your voice from the comfort of your home under the guidance and instruction of Dr. Maguiat.
Under his baton, the UP Singing Ambassadors won many international competitions. He also won international awards such as the Dirigentenpreis (Conductor’s Award) at the 2nd Johannes Brahms International Choir Competition in Germany, and the Special Prize for Excellent Conducting Performance at the 25th Bela Bartok International Choral Competition in Debrecen, Hungary, and the Best Conductor in the 2nd Andrea del Verrocchio International Choral Festival in Florence, Italy.
