Following the success of its recent auction, “Echoes of Rarity,” Gallery 928 is set to mount its third one, “Holiday Opulence: Art and Jewels Under the Mistletoe,” on December 14 at LRI Design Plaza, 210 Nicanor Garcia St. Bel Air 2, Makati.
Consignments of artworks, as well as jewelry, are now being accepted, Gallery 928 owner-auctioner Jeffrey G. Dimalanta said, adding that the wide interest and warm response of the public and art collectors to “Echoes…” have doubled his enthusiasm.
Abdulmari Imao’s 1984 brass sculpture “Sari-Fish,” Federico Aguilar Alcuaz’s untitled 1977 oil on canvas vision of Manila Bay, and Onib Olmedo’s 1990 pastel on felt paper work, “Lovers,” comprised some of the pieces sold at “Echoes…”
Expect more exciting auction pieces this December 14, Dimalanta said, as he vowed to continue what he started this year.

“Inspired by the successful auction houses abroad and locally, I want to curate events that not only showcase remarkable artworks, but also provide a platform for interaction and celebration,” he said in a recent interview.

“These gatherings could become a focal point for artists and collectors to engage, share stories, and build lasting relationships, further enriching the tapestry of the art scene.”
