THE Philippines is set to make a significant appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, a leading global technology event. Eight Philippine tech companies will participate in the event under the PARTNERPhilippines program, a national initiative aimed at promoting the country as a business hub. CES 2025, taking place in Las Vegas from January 7th to 10th, provides a plat-form for companies to showcase their latest products and innovations while connecting with indus-try leaders and potential partners.
This marks the Philippines’ second participation in CES, reflecting the country’s growing focus on the electronics sector. Leah Pulido Ocampo, Executive Director of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Mission (CITEM), emphasized the importance of the electronics industry to the Philippine economy and its potential for global growth.
The Philippine Export Development Plan 2023-2028 prioritizes the electronics sector as a key driver of economic growth. The plan aims to leverage the country’s existing capabilities in electronics manufacturing and promote research and development to capture emerging opportunities in global markets.
Despite challenges posed by the pandemic, the Philippine electronics sector has shown resilience, with export sales reaching $41.91B in 2023. Electronic products remain the country’s top export, ac-counting for a significant portion of total exports to key regions including Southeast Asia, the Euro-pean Union, and the Asia-Pacific.
At CES 2025, the Philippine delegation will showcase a diverse range of products, solutions, and technologies, highlighting the country’s capabilities in the electronics sector. The delegation will also emphasize sustainability and green initiatives, demonstrating the country’s commitment to re-sponsible business practices.
Industry leaders expressed optimism about the future of the Philippine electronics industry, project-ing continued growth and increased investment. The participation in CES 2025 is expected to further strengthen the country’s position as a key player in the global technology landscape.
