In addition to expanding availability, Oracle and Microsoft are enhancing Oracle Database@Azure with new services. The Oracle Database Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service is now available, providing organizations with robust data protection and the ability to recover from disruptions quickly. OCI GoldenGate, an advanced data replication and integration service, is also planned for availability soon, promising further resilience and interoperability.

MSCI, a global provider of investment decision support tools, is among the organizations adopting Oracle Database@Azure to enhance business continuity. The company benefits from Oracle Exadata Database Service on Azure, which provides secure, high-performance infrastructure to maintain its critical operations. According to MSCI’s Chief Information Security Officer, John Rogers, this migration allows MSCI to safeguard operations against future disruptions while maintaining a reliable environment for its mission-critical workloads.

Oracle and Microsoft are committed to improving the capabilities of Oracle Database@Azure.

The recently launched Oracle Database Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service helps organizations recover critical business data in seconds, addressing both operational and disaster recovery scenarios. This service provides flexible recovery options across multiple Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) regions, minimizing downtime and data loss.

Furthermore, OCI GoldenGate, soon to be available as a managed service on Oracle Database@Azure, will offer full-featured replication and integration with Azure services like Microsoft Fabric and OneLake. This will enhance existing integrations with Azure’s data and messaging tools, including Event Hub, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks, providing customers with a comprehensive multicloud solution.

Customers can acquire Oracle Database@Azure as a new service or through their existing Azure commitments, with the option to use Oracle’s “Bring Your Own License” (BYOL) program. Oracle Autonomous Database and other services are available through custom quotes, while Autonomous Database also offers a pay-as-you-go model for flexibility in deployment.

Oracle Database@Azure provides customers with a range of benefits, including high performance, scalability, and compatibility with existing Oracle and Azure tools. The service simplifies cloud migration while maintaining consistency with on-premises Oracle Database and Exadata systems, minimizing the need for complex rearchitecting. Additionally, Oracle and Microsoft offer unified support, simplifying the user experience.

Oracle and Microsoft’s commitment to expanding Oracle Database@Azure is driven by increasing customer demand for multicloud solutions. Karan Batta, Senior Vice President at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, highlighted the growing momentum, emphasizing that expanding the Azure cloud region footprint will give more organizations access to Oracle’s multicloud capabilities, accelerating innovation and application development.

Brett Tanzer, Vice President of Product Management at Microsoft, also underscored the importance of providing tailored cloud solutions. He noted that Oracle Database@Azure helps organizations navigate today’s dynamic business environment, offering the flexibility to meet evolving needs and maintain a competitive edge.

The partnership between Oracle and Microsoft continues to drive innovation, giving global enterprises powerful, flexible tools to accelerate their cloud journeys while maintaining resilience, security, and scalability.
