Globe-owned Yondu reintroduces Vessell
Globe’s IT solutions company, Yondu, reintroduces Vessell’s new direction as a one-stop e-commerce platform. The change is driven to better meet the needs of retailers today.
In a recent study by the Statista Research Department, Shopee, Lazada, and Zalora topped the list of the most popular e-commerce platforms in the country. It is then common for retailers to create an account in all three, but handling transactions on these different platforms created a constant challenge for many sellers.
Retailers have to manage the inventory, orders, and fulfillment independently. They also spend a lot of time doing manual tasks, such as digging through data, generating and consolidating reports, and reviewing stock allocation. According to Vessell’s research, 90% of sellers’ time is spent consolidating the data rather than working with it.
These issues prompted Vessell to take action and address the challenges faced by retailers. With a centralized dashboard, Vessell connects popular marketplaces like Shopee, Lazada, and Zalora. It allows sellers to manage inventory and orders in one place, prevents stock-out, and helps in forecasting.
Despite the pandemic restrictions becoming more relaxed, the e-commerce sector continues its steady rise as more sellers and consumers prefer shopping online, as shown by the recent data from Statista Research Department. Vessell aims to enable this continued growth by enhancing its capabilities to make things easier for retailers and allow them to focus on growing their business.
Vessell offers an array of pricing packages ranging from P2,499.00/mo to P39,999/mo. Retailers would have the flexibility to choose which plan best suits their requirements, from Vessell’s Basic package with order management capabilities to the Enterprise package with marketplace integrations. Merchants who are interested can start their journey with Vessell by visiting their website and booking a demo.
“This is just the beginning for Vessell as we remain committed to continue improving the platform to empower retailers and drive them to success,” said Alex Pelayo, Associate Product Director of Vessell. “Currently, Vessell is exploring integration to more relevant marketplaces so more sellers can look forward to improved and expanded order and inventory management solutions for bigger operations.”
LinkedIn unlocks 100 Learning courses on Generative AI
The world of work is constantly changing — from the technologies used to do jobs to the skills needed to progress in one’s career. We are now in an era driven by rapid advances in automation and artificial intelligence (AI), with new promises and accompanying challenges.
The skills we need to grow professionally will have to evolve too. Based on LinkedIn’s latest data, the fastest-growing AI-related skills among professionals in 2022 all hint at the emergence of generative AI, which is a form of AI that has a wide range of applications, including creating text, images, and audio as well as writing code.
With a national artificial intelligence (AI) roadmap in the Philippines in place, and more recently, a new Bill seeking the creation of an AI development authority, the country is reportedly planning to accelerate the adoption of this disruptive technology to reap economic benefits.
To help professionals and companies acquire the skills they need in the new world of work, LinkedIn will release 100 LinkedIn Learning courses on generative AI in various languages for free over the next three months beginning 16 March 2023.
“Building AI into our products isn’t new for us at LinkedIn. We’ve done this for the past 16 years and are uniquely positioned to use AI to help hirers find the right candidates. We will be testing AI-powered job descriptions to help job posters find qualified candidates more quickly, so they can focus on the more strategic parts of their role like talking to and building relationships with candidates,” LinkedIn says.
