SOPHOS, a global leader in innovative security solutions, and Pax8, a leading cloud commerce marketplace, have announced a strategic partnership to provide over 40,000 managed service providers (MSPs) access to Sophos’s comprehensive suite of cybersecurity solutions. This includes Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Sophos Endpoint powered by Intercept X, and Sophos Firewall, all accessible through a single platform.

This partnership aims to address the increasing complexity of cybersecurity management for MSPs.  A 2024 Sophos report indicated that consolidating security solutions with a single vendor can significantly reduce daily management time.  By simplifying procurement, billing, and solution integration, the Sophos and Pax8 partnership seeks to enhance efficiency and strengthen security posture for MSPs.

“Sophos and Pax8 are strongly aligned in our mission to empower MSPs with best-in-class end-to-end security services and products while simplifying lifecycle management of these solutions and reducing operational overhead. MSPs want to align with vendors who are easy to work with and this agreement will make it even easier for MSPs to work with Sophos, something we’ve long been committed to,” said Joe Levy, CEO of Sophos.

Scott Chasin, Chief Executive Officer of Pax8, highlighted the importance of cloud-first, flexible, and scalable solutions for modern MSPs.  The partnership aims to provide Pax8’s MSPs with enterprise-grade security solutions tailored for small to midsized business customers.

Key benefits for MSPs include access to a comprehensive security portfolio, reduced overhead costs, streamlined procurement processes, and coordinated support and training initiatives. Additionally, Sophos’s MDR service for Microsoft environments ensures compatibility and comprehensive security for MSPs’ Microsoft Defender customers.

Sophos’s solutions, backed by real-time threat intelligence from Sophos X-Ops, offer proactive, AI-driven protection against cyberattacks. As a leading provider of MDR services, Sophos protects over 28,000 organizations globally.  The partnership will enable Pax8 MSPs to leverage these capabilities to enhance their clients’ security.

Sophos’s MDR service for Microsoft environments allows MSPs to bolster the security of clients utilizing Microsoft Defender. The service can be fully managed by Sophos or used to augment an MSP’s in-house security team.  For MSPs with in-house MDR services, the AI Assistant in Sophos XDR provides threat investigation and response intelligence to enhance efficiency.

“With cybersecurity, speed and innovation are essential for defending against attackers. This partnership with Pax8 accelerates MSP access to critical cybersecurity tools, enabling them to better protect their customers in an increasingly complex and volatile threat landscape,” Levy concluded adding that Sophos’ offering on Pax8 Marketplace started last February 28, 2025.
