SCHNEIDER Electric has entered into a 5-year partnership with Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc. (Dualtech), a technical vocational institution starting by a donation P3 million worth of electrical and electronic equipment.
The collaboration is to enhance Dualtech’s Tech Voc program and bolster the development of highly skilled young Filipino workers to respond to the global shift towards Industrial 4.0. Studies have shown that rapid automation and digitalization of industries has resulted in a manpower shortage, which in turn necessitates workforce upskilling in electrical, mechanical, and automation fields.
To allow Dualtech to contribute to the filling the manpower needs, and expand its knowledge in the field, Schneider Electric aside from the donation of electrical and electronic equipment, Schneider Electric will implement mentorship initiatives, enabling scholars to learn from a cadre of Schneider Electric experts.

Our partnership with Dualtech will enable us to empower the next generation of Filipino workforce to harness their full potential and lead the development of a more sustainable and digitally driven future,” Ireen Go-Catane, President of Schneider Electric Philippines said emphasizing the importance of preparing the workforce for the challenges of Industrial 4.0.

We believe that the donations and the mentorship program that they’re offering will greatly help improve Dualtech’s capability to develop more competitive future skilled workers and will also allow us to advance our technical vocation program,” Engr. Dualtech, accredited by TESDA, offers a 2-Year Electromechanics Technology course that combines electrical, mechanical, and electronics disciplines. Due to the global rise in demand for skilled workers, the institution is working to modernize its training program and facilities to accommodate more young scholars. Its partnerships with private institutions such as Schneider Electric have been crucial in resolving issues on shortages in necessary training equipment and tools.
Schneider Electric’s philanthropic initiatives, aligned with the Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact and UN SDGs, place a strong emphasis on supporting youth worldwide with education and training to enhance their quality of life. On a global scale, the company has committed to training 1 million youth in energy management, equipping them with the skills needed to lead in the digital transformation era.
