IN a build-up to an even bigger collegiate esports tournament next month when the Collegiate Center for Esports officially kicks off Season 1 featuring student-athletes following a successful launch last year starring varsity players, Ateneo ruled the Commission on Higher Education’s Friendship Games over the weekend.
Ateneo toppled 15 counterparts across the country in sweeping fashion highlighted by a 3-0 win over Perpetual Help College of Pangasinan in the best-of-three finals.
Cyril Damon Lorenzo, Kyle Christian Calub and Eugene Dela Cruz connived with MVP performances in Ateneo’s runaway victory for the inaugural Esports (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang) crown of the CHED Friendship Games powered by Converge with CCE as official supporter and Galaxy Racer as Esports partner.
