TOKI, the Philippines’ first and leading social commerce platform for collectibles, has quickly established itself as a hub for collectors since its launch in November 2023.

Designed “for collectors, by collectors,” the platform aims to address the unique needs of the collector community, offering safe and secure features for transactions and interactions.

In less than a year, Toki has attracted 70,000 users, authenticated over 100,000 items, and facilitated more than 500 auctions. This rapid growth speaks to the platform’s success in resonating with collectors and providing a trusted space for buying and selling.

Frederic Levy, Toki’s CEO and Co-founder, expressed his enthusiasm for the platform’s reception, stating, “We are thrilled with the overwhelming response from the collector community. Our goal has always been to create a trusted and engaging platform where collectors can connect, transact, and share their passion.”

Toki places a strong emphasis on ensuring authenticity, employing rigorous screening for sellers and a strict verification process for every item sold.

This commitment to security has fostered user confidence and contributed to the platform’s credibility.

Zoe Ocampo, Toki’s Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, highlighted the importance of trust in the collector community, stating, “As collectors, it’s crucial for us to have confidence in the sellers we engage with on the platform. As we onboard new sellers, we prioritize expanding into new categories where our trusted sellers can immediately begin listing their unique offerings.”

Toki’s founders, all former GCash executives and avid collectors themselves, have also revealed plans to expand the platform’s reach by incorporating retail locations, offering a comprehensive online-to-offline (O2O) experience for users.

This move aims to bridge the gap between the convenience of online shopping and the tangible experience of browsing and discovering collectibles in person.

With its focus on authenticity, community, and innovation, Toki is poised to continue redefining the collector’s journey in the Philippines.

As Levy aptly put it, “Beyond revolutionizing the collectors’ journey, Toki is carving a path where each item tells a story, and every transaction fosters a deeper connection within our vibrant community.

Our journey from being digital-first to blending physical presence marks the next chapter in redefining how collectors can enjoy their passion, both online and offline.”
