The Guoco Tower is a 64-story, mixed-use development project, currently the highest in Singapore. With an 18-meter-deep, three-level basement connected to the existing underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) railway station.

ARUP Singapore entered its Tanjong Pagar Mixed Development project in the geotechnical engineering category. Its Guoco Tower is a 64-story, mixed-use development project with an 18-meter-deep, three-level basement connected to the existing underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) railway station. ARUP was retained as the civil and structural consultant to develop a cost-effective foundation design which used Bentley applications to accurately model, plan the construction while controlling impact on existing adjacent infrastructure sequence excavation works.

KMEDP is a large-scale, dual-mode desalination plant that can treat either saltwater from the sea or fresh water from the Marina Reservoir.

The Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant (KMEDP) is AECOM Singapore and Keppel Infrastructure Holdings Singapore entry to the water and wastewater treatment plants category. KMEDP is a large-scale, dual mode desalination plant that can treat either salt water from the sea or freshwater from the Marina Reservoir. Mostly underground, the facility features 20,000 square meters of parkland on the roof and an unconventional architectural design. The project team used Bentley applications to enable BIM strategies throughout design and construction. A digital twin of KMEDP is also under development.

Tuas Water Reclamation Plant is part of the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System Phase 2 project and is PUB’s initiative to serve Singapore’s water needs.

The Jacobs Engineering Group and Singapore’s National Water Agency, Public Utilities Board (PUB) presented the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant. Part of the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System Phase 2 project and is PUB’s initiative to serve Singapore’s water needs. Bentley applications were used to create 3D models, which ensured design consistency and improved multidiscipline coordination during the design and construction phases of the project.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and gala on October 24 during Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure 2019 Conference. The annual conference explores innovations in software technology enabling infrastructure project delivery and asset performance. The theme of this year’s conference is Advancing BIM through Digital Twins.

Bentley Systems, Incorporated, is the leading global provider of comprehensive software and digital twins services for advancing the design, construction, and operations of infrastructure.
