The original Power Mac Center (PMC) store in Megamall, a landmark location for Apple enthusiasts in the Philippines since its opening in 1994, has been elevated to the prestigious Apple Premium Partner (APP) status. This distinction, held by only a few stores in Southeast Asia, recognizes retailers that meet Apple’s high standards for service and store design.
PMC, the sole official Apple Premium Reseller in the Philippines authorized to open APP stores, has established a nationwide network over the past 30 years. The Megamall location’s upgrade is particularly significant as it marks the beginning of PMC’s journey.
“It’s fitting to say this is where it all started,” said Joey Alvarez, PMC Director for Marketing and Product Management. “For almost three decades, this location has enjoyed unwavering support from tech enthusiasts, customers who have been with us since Day 1. Moving forward, we will continue to evolve and innovate to provide for the technology needs of all our customers.”
As an APP store, the Megamall location now offers a comprehensive Apple experience, combining retail, training, and service in a single, minimalist space that reflects Apple’s premium aesthetic. Customers can explore a wide range of Apple devices and accessories, participate in free group demonstrations on app features, and access on-site diagnostic and repair services.
To celebrate the opening, PMC held a weekend-long event from May 31 to June 2, featuring huge deals and discounts on Apple products and services. The event also included free group demos and talks by invited guests, including Barbie Almalbis, Jer Dee, Artu Nepomuceno, Ysanygo, Rob Deniel, and Samantha Lee, who shared their experiences using Apple devices in their careers and hobbies.
This milestone coincides with PMC’s upcoming 30th anniversary in August. The company has planned a series of celebratory events, including store openings, product launches, and sales, to mark the occasion. PMC remains committed to bringing Apple technology closer to Filipinos across the country through its various initiatives and partnerships.
