EPSON has introduced the ColorWorks CW-C8050, a high-speed label printer designed to meet the rigorous demands of high-volume batch printing in industries such as manufacturing and packaging.
The printer features advanced PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology and utilizes high-performance UltraChrome DL pigment inks to produce smudge and fade-resistant labels with accurate colors, smooth gradations, precise barcodes, and sharp text and is capable of printing at speeds up to 11.8 inches per second.
The printer supports a variety of media types, including matte and gloss paper, film, and synthetic materials, with print widths ranging from 1 to 4 inches. It can also handle thicker media up to 0.6mm using an adjustable platen gap, it includes spot color management and ICC profiling functions to ensure precise color matching.
Designed for minimal maintenance, the CW-C8050 incorporates Epson’s Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT) and dot substitution to prevent misprints and dead pixels. The NVT’s auto maintenance function detects and revives blocked nozzles to maintain optimal performance. The printer uses high-yield ink packs, providing a total ink capacity of 1.9 liters, which reduces the frequency of interventions and lowers consumable waste.
For seamless integration into various working environments, the CW-C8050 offers USB 3.0, high-speed Ethernet, and an I/O port for easy setup, along with cloud printing support and optional Wi-Fi. It is compatible with legacy systems using the ESC/Label command and supports popular middleware, including Device Type and ABAP drivers for SAP Direct Printing.
The CW-C8050 enables real-time, high-quality label production, eliminating the need for excess inventory and reducing pre-printed label waste, helping companies stay competitive and sustainable in today’s fast-paced markets,” Noelle Gonzalez, Marketing Division Head at Epson Philippines said.
