THE UAAP board has decided to extend the suspension of the league’s second semester events until Tuesday, March 17, to give every member of the community ample time to adjust to the current situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The league is taking things day-by-day and will have another announcement regarding the future of UAAP Season 82 on Monday, March 16. Last Monday, President Duterte declared a state of public health emergency due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country.
The league had earlier suspended all its events from March 10 to 14. Affected events so far are collegiate volleyball, collegiate football, collegiate softball, collegiate baseball, and high school girls’ basketball.
The NCAA last Monday postponed all its second semester events due to the virus.
